Gas Mileage Getting Worse
This is a generic issue for many car problems, but it could be an indication for your engine.
Exhaust Smoke
Smoke color helps quickly diagnose what the problem might be. Traditionally, white smoke could mean the coolant is leaking. Black smoke hints at too much gas are burning. Blue-tinted smoke suggests there could be an oil leak.
"Knocking" Noise or Vibrating
An annoying metal-on-metal sound can indicate something is wrong with the engine. To solve this annoying sound, adding some fresh oil, but it could suggest some other harsh problems too.
